GreenGorm Windows

Cairngorm Windows, planning today, saving tomorrow!

By installing our A Rated Windows, the average UK home could save money on their fuel bills, and save as much as 1704kg of CO2 per year, the equivalent of taking a Ford Mondeo off the road for a year! Even our C rated windows could offset your carbon footprint by 852kg, that's as much as not running a Ford Fiesta for a year (based upon an average mileage of 12,000 per year).

Why not see how much you could save by trying the Glass & Glazing Federation's carbon calculator.

Is PVC Sustainable?

Yes! The first PVC windows that were fitted in the UK are now over 40 years old & still going strong! A PVC window can be recycled & remade 10 times without losing any of the quality. A window made today could still be around in 400 years time! So the windows you buy today could also be used by your great, great, great, great, great, great, great, Grandchildren!

Other benefits:

  • Reduced heat loss means lower energy consumption.
  • As a rot-free alternative to wood, PVCu saves millions of trees worldwide.
  • Low-energy manufacture reduces harmful gas emissions.
  • PVCu frames can be easily recycled.
  • Complies with Document J of the building regulations.

Cairngorm Windows implement a total recycling policy right across the supply chain and are proud of the green credentials of our PVCu supplier. All our PVCu waste is recycled and reused for future building projects. Profile 22, our PVCu supplier, implement a Closed Loop Recycling policy and also recycle all their waste products.

Currently, over 90% of all our waste goes for recycling which is something we are really proud of!

Tougher Windows

Made a little tougher in the Highlands for the Highland weather.

We are proud to be recognised by the major accreditation boards for the various products that we offer.
