Fun day marks new era for firm with floor space doubled.
Cairngorm Windows welcomed a new era in the company’s history in Caithness when it unveiled its new showroom in Thurso’s High Street.
The firm staged a party last Saturday with locals invited to find out about its range of windows, doors, conservatories and solar panels.
Bubbles the Clown was at the open day to welcome younger cus- tomers while Ros Campbell, of Cups Tearoom, Scrabster, performed cake-decorating demonstrations throughout the day.
Cairngorm Windows group marketing manager Martin Mitchell said the day was successful for the business as it signed a number of deals with new customers.
“We had a lot of people come in and received a lot of passing trade,” he said.
“We managed to secure a few orders during the first day which was good and generated a lot of leads and potential sales. The first day at the new show-room seemed to go really well for us.”
Cairngorm Windows has only moved a couple of doors down from its old premises. But Mr Mitchell said with the new showroom having almost double the floor space, it can now offer its customers greater choice.
“The larger showroom gives us an opportunity to show more of our products as we have almost twice as much new floor space,” he said.
“It is the next step forward for us expanding in Caithness as the success in our sales has made it justifiable to invest more into the area.
“Existing staff have been relocated to the new showroom and we have taken on a new team of fitters in the Caithness area for kitchen fitting and window installation.”
All of the company’s windows, doors and conservatories are made at its factory in Inverness.
The showroom is open Tuesday to Saturday between 10am and 4.30pm.
