Caithness Showroom Opening

Ensuring customers in Caithness enjoy the very latest, on-trend styles for their home, Cairngorm Windows is unveiling a stunning new showroom in Thurso.

Bigger than before and with an even greater choice of bespoke kitchen and conservatory styles, the new premises at 6-8 High Street will showcase top German brand Hacker to customers north of Inverness for the very first time.

At the grand opening on Saturday, April 2, customers are being invited to discover the new range which features contemporary kitchens and accessories in cutting-edge copper and chilli red, and a beautiful new conservatory style in on-trend grey.

Martin Mitchell, group marketing manager, said: “Due to ongoing growth in the company, we’re experiencing significant expansion in the Caithness area.

“Our investment in the Thurso showroom further consolidates our commitment to customers in the north and enables us to showcase our full range of products."

“In the last few years alone our product range has increased dramatically."

“Our high-quality, bespoke windows, doors and conservatories offer the highest energy efficiency rating available on the market, saving our customers money on their energy bills and preventing heat loss from their home."

“We have since diversified to offer alternative energy saving solutions for the home particularly performance-leading solar panels."

“Due to customer demand, we now also offer garage conversions, decking and extensions and, just as with our conservatories, our team take care of every detail. We handle all planning requirements, organise groundwork and installation, light fittings, electrics, even painting – in fact we can offer the complete home improvement package.”

Over 60 years of satisfied customers clearly agree on the quality of the products.

Cairngorm windows, doors and conservatories are made locally in the Highlands at the state-of-the-art Inverness factory. As well as being made to measure, these products are built to last and have the unique advantage of being tried and tested in locations known for adverse weather conditions including exposed Caithness cliffs and the Atlantic storm-battered Western Isles!

All products have the highest severe weather rating available and can be made with Secure by Design – an accredited security rating rigorously tested and endorsed by the police and insurance companies.

Doors have top-of-the-range security measures and the Apeer70 composite door is the highest energy-rated. Windows also have the highest energy rating available on the market.

Cairngorm is one of the few companies in the north of Scotland to manufacture windows that comply with the stringent standards and rigorous testing of the British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC) energy efficiency rating system. It is also an approved company of the Consumer Protection Association which protects customers’ deposits and guarantees the work for up to 10 years. Products are also protected by the CE Marking rating.

Martin explained: “All windows are legally required to show that they have achieved the European standard. Windows now installed without CE markings and documentation are illegal and may have to be ripped out and replaced. All our windows, doors and conservatories are fully accredited.”

When it comes to its renewable energy products, Cairngorm is registered with the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) and Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC) and all products have full insurance-backed guarantees for added peace of mind.

Product quality is matched by the highest level of customer service from staff who go that extra mile.

Martin said: “All our staff in the Caithness office are local and want the best for our customers. “Many of our staff are long-serving having been with the company for years and we have experienced, talented joiners who take great pride in their work.”

Thurso manager, Mary McIntyre, who has looked after the former showroom for 16 years is delighted to move to the new, bigger premises and is enjoying showing off the new styles to customers. Cairngorm’s top designer, Isla MacLeod, is also on hand for consultations to discuss bespoke options and ensure customers make their dream kitchen a reality.
